Windows Mouse Mover ("we", "us", "the app") is designed to do one job quietly and to handle your information with care. This policy describes what we collect, why we collect it and what choices you have. By using our website or apps you accept this policy.
Information we collect
- Account details. Your email address and a securely hashed password, collected when you register.
- Billing details. Stripe processes payments. We never see or keep your full card number. We keep your Stripe customer ID and subscription status so we can manage your plan and activation key.
- Activation key. A license key linked to your account, so the extension can confirm that a subscription is active.
- Basic usage analytics. Aggregated, non-identifying figures such as page views and download counts that help us see what works. We do not sell this data.
- Support messages. When you write to us, we keep your message and email address so that we can respond.
Information we do not collect
The extension does not record your screen, log keystrokes, read your files or track which programs you use. Activity simulation happens entirely in your browser. To build the Away Brief, it notices notifications and unread counts raised by the web apps open in your tabs, and that information stays in your browser. The only thing the extension sends to us is an HTTPS request asking whether your subscription is active. It never sends what you are doing.
How we use information
- To create and protect your account and issue your activation key.
- To take payment and manage your subscription through Stripe.
- To provide support and answer your requests.
- To send essential account email: receipts, password resets, and trial and billing notices. We don't send marketing spam.
Who receives it
We pass on only what is necessary to the services that operate the product: Stripe for payments, our database and hosting provider, and our email provider. Each uses the data only to deliver its service to us. We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
Retention and deletion
We keep your account data for as long as your account stays active. You can delete your account whenever you like from your account page or by emailing us. We will remove your personal data within 30 days, except for records the law requires us to hold, such as payment records for tax purposes.
Security
Passwords are hashed, traffic is encrypted with HTTPS, and secrets live in server-side environment variables rather than in client code. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and will tell you promptly about any breach that affects you.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may be entitled to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise a right, email hello@windowsmousemover.com.
Children
Windows Mouse Mover is not aimed at anyone under 16, and we don't knowingly collect data from children.
Updates to this policy
We may revise this policy as the product changes. For material changes we will update the date above and, where appropriate, tell you by email. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the revised policy.
